![]() ![]() So just want to be clear this isn't about my personal gripe with the Exalted Lord of Change's model and animations. We can theorise all we want from the prerelease footage but the only way to know relative strengths of units is by playing the campaigns and seeing how each unit performs. I wouldn't be surprised if CA thought that single passive was strong enough.Ĥ) it's way too early to start highlighting balance issues. I know they're units in both armies in AoS and 40k lets Thousand Sons (mortal part of Tzeentch) use them.ġ) most of the passives for the other daemons are entirely based around being in melee, which has a lot less DPS and overall damage potential than spellcasting due to mechanics like splash attacks, as well as the inherent risks associated with being in melee.Ģ) From what I can tell so far, the Lord of Change is the only one that could take armies down by itself with enough WoM because it can fly and doesn't need to be in melee to kill stuff like the bloodthirster.ģ) reducing cooldowns by 10 seconds every 30 seconds sounds absolutely bonkers, especially considering how strong the lore of tzeentch has looked in battles we've seen. I expect we'll get a Tzaangor based DLC at some point to help expand Tzeentch a bit, but that's only if they technically fall under that army in WHFB 8th, which I have no idea about. If we extend it to Beastmen we can add in: (ignoring models shared by every chaos faction) Horrors (Pink/Blue/Brimstone, all one unit). The current non-character demon part of the Tzeentch lineup in 40k/AoS is: I suppose if they try glossing over some AoS era model shenanigans they could give Tzeentch a bit more mortal support. There's very little they can add for Tzeentch outside of characters, it's always been a character driven faction with very few unique models, moreso than even the other Daemon factions. Unfortunately this matches TT pretty well. Not suprised though, all of tzeentch seems kind of undercooked, its the smallest roster with the most reskins in it. On Kairos at least, it is worthwhile to overcast it because he has -40% miscast from another skill (and another -15% from the 2nd point in Glean Magic).įurthermore, you can charge the Tzeentch army ability for extra WoM pool (charges based on WoM spent). This means that your cast is free while lowering enemy reserve by 9. The total reserve drain would be 9.2 (potentially 9.3 because things usually have an extra tick upon application that tooltips do not count for some reason). Overcasting Glean Magic with this costs 9 WoM. The 2nd (3rd for Heroes) point in Glean Magic lowers cost by 2 (3 for overcast). In campaign, Kairos gets a skill giving all of his Iridescent Horrors, Cultists, and Lords of Change Master of the Elemental Winds (just like Cathay's casters have).
